Traditional art deco design Pie Funnel for making perfect pies.
Our pie funnel allows steam to escape whilst the pie is baking to keep the crusts crisp and avoid soggy pastry.
The unique shape supports the pastry while baking and the steam escape prevents the filling from bubbling over.
For best results add the vent before the pie filling, make sure there is an air gap under the vent and make a hole in the pie top to allow steam to escape.
Use a heatproof ramekin under the vent for extra deep pies to ensure the blackbirds beak extends to the top of the pastry.
