Herbed French Bread

| 1/4 | cup | butter, or margarine | |
| 2 | tablespoon | oil, olive or vegetable | |
| 1 | each | garlic, clove, minced | |
| 3 | tablespoon | parmesan cheese, grated | |
| 2 | tablespoon | chives, freah, chopped | |
| 1 | teaspoon | mustard, dijon | |
| 1 | each | french bread, loaf, sliced | |
Directions: | |||
| Melt butter in a saucepan. Add oil and garlic; saute until garlic is tender. Remove from the heat; stir in parmesan, chives and mustard. Cool for 5 minutes or until creamy. Spread on one side of each slice of bread. Place with buttered side up on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 6-8 minutes or broil servings. | |||
